Meet a caring America<\/h4>\n

Highlights of the first day included an evening at the Stoney's Rockin' Country<\/strong>This is a local dance hall where regulars and visitors meet. With its relaxed atmosphere, live music, line dancing and spontaneous discussions, it's a warm and sincere taste of America, a far cry from the often artificial image of the city.<\/p>\n

Monumental nature: Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam<\/h4>\n

The next day, off to the Wild West. First stop Hoover Dam<\/strong>an engineering masterpiece that commands respect. Then it's on to the Grand Canyon West<\/strong>Eagle Point and Guano Point. There, it's a real shock: monumental cliffs in shades of red and ochre, the vertigo of the Skywalk suspended above the void, motionless silence...<\/p>\n

Every glance is far-reaching, every step contemplative. The Grand Canyon is not a setting. It's a sensation. A lesson in scale.<\/p>\n

Nelson: a town frozen in time<\/h4>\n

On the way back, stop at Nelson<\/strong>Nevada's ghost town. Rusty old vehicles, faded petrol stations, monumental cacti, faded wooden shacks: everything seems to have been untouched for decades. It's like being in a frozen Western, with desert, dust and nostalgia.<\/p>\n

Extreme immersion in Death Valley<\/h4>\n

Another day takes participants to the heart of the Death Valley<\/strong> Badwater Basin, Artist's Palette, Zabriskie Point... At over 45\u00b0C, nature seems hostile, but it's fascinating.<\/p>\n

Here too, the silence is striking. And the raw beauty of the landscape commands instinctive respect. A kind of mineral interlude out of time.<\/p>\n
