Las Vegas: the other face of the city of gambling
Early June 2025Elite American Voyage organised a study trip like no other, inviting a number of travel agents to (re)discover Las Vegas and the surrounding area on an intensive and immersive itinerary. Far from the clichés and stereotypes usually associated with the Nevada city, this famtrip revealed a more nuanced, more human destination, surprisingly rich in contrasts.
A spectacular start
Arriving in Las Vegas at night sets the tone: omnipresent lights, excessive architecture, casinos open at all hours... First contact with the Strip, its iconic themed hotels - from the Venetian to the Excalibur and the Caesars Palace - and its logic of permanent spectacle.
But it's the helicopter flight over the city on the first evening that offers a different perspective: from this altitude, the city seems fragile, suspended in the immensity of the desert.

Meet a caring America
Highlights of the first day included an evening at the Stoney's Rockin' CountryThis is a local dance hall where regulars and visitors meet. With its relaxed atmosphere, live music, line dancing and spontaneous discussions, it's a warm and sincere taste of America, a far cry from the often artificial image of the city.
Monumental nature: Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam
The next day, off to the Wild West. First stop Hoover Daman engineering masterpiece that commands respect. Then it's on to the Grand Canyon WestEagle Point and Guano Point. There, it's a real shock: monumental cliffs in shades of red and ochre, the vertigo of the Skywalk suspended above the void, motionless silence...
Every glance is far-reaching, every step contemplative. The Grand Canyon is not a setting. It's a sensation. A lesson in scale.
Nelson: a town frozen in time
On the way back, stop at NelsonNevada's ghost town. Rusty old vehicles, faded petrol stations, monumental cacti, faded wooden shacks: everything seems to have been untouched for decades. It's like being in a frozen Western, with desert, dust and nostalgia.

Extreme immersion in Death Valley
Another day takes participants to the heart of the Death Valley Badwater Basin, Artist's Palette, Zabriskie Point... At over 45°C, nature seems hostile, but it's fascinating.
Here too, the silence is striking. And the raw beauty of the landscape commands instinctive respect. A kind of mineral interlude out of time.

Technology and lighting: The Sphere and Downtown
Return to the city for a unique experience: The Spherean immersive sphere featuring cutting-edge visual and sensory technologies. A futuristic experience, where sound, vibrations and 360° images take visitors on a spectacular sensory journey.
Finally, discovery of the DowntownA city where everyone can express themselves freely, in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. A city where everyone can express themselves freely, in a caring and inclusive atmosphere. An unexpected favourite.
Relaxation on the lake and a gentle return
The last day is spent on the calm waters of the Lake MeadYou'll be able to take a trip on a small boat captained by Jérémy. Coves, swimming, red rocks... a moment of absolute peace, far from the hustle and bustle.
A final massage in Chinatown will bring this rich, intense and richly contrasting experience to a close.
