Miami, hair in the wind with Elite American Voyages

A private immersion with Johan, its Director in Person... The engine roars under the bonnet, the bonnet folds back, making way for the azure Florida sky. The sun is already beating down on Miami, but a gentle breeze tempers the heat. Seated aboard a Mustang convertible, we're about to discover the city from a unique angle, guided by none other than Johan, the director ofElite American Voyages in person. More than just a driver, he's our storyteller for the day, ready to reveal Miami's secrets through his expert eyes.

South Beach: A trip back in time to the heart of Art Deco

From the very first moments on Ocean Drive, it's clear why South Beach is Miami's most emblematic district. Johan, at the wheel, tells us how these pastel-coloured, rounded buildings were home to stars and gangsters in the 1930s. The Colony Hotel, the Cavalier Hotel, each façade seems frozen in an era when glamour and extravagance dictated fashion. Under the palm trees, the terraces are bursting with life. Between glimpses of the long white sandy beaches and the effervescent atmosphere of the cafés, you can let yourself be absorbed by the vibrant energy of the area. A quick stop to capture the moment, and we're off again, hair in the wind, to a completely different atmosphere.

Wynwood: An open-air art gallery

The transition is radical. Wynwood is no longer Miami Beach, it's the artistic and rebellious soul of the city. Each wall tells a story, each fresco is a manifesto of colour. We make a long stop, just long enough to immerse ourselves in this hypnotic universe. Johan guides us to an unusual place: Walt Grace Vintage, a paradise for music and car enthusiasts. In this unusual boutique, vintage guitars and classic cars rub shoulders in a unique setting. Fender, Gibson, Porsche, Aston Martin... Here, everything exudes nostalgia and refinement. But the visit wouldn't be complete without a gourmet break. Head for Yann Couvreur, where the famous French chef's pastries will delight your taste buds. A flaky croissant, a coffee éclair: a sweet nod to our roots, right in the middle of Wynwood's artistic effervescence.

Little Havana: Miami's Cuban soul

As soon as you enter Little Havana, the journey takes on a whole new meaning. The streets are bustling with life, salsa music can be heard around every corner, and the smell of cigars mingles with that of Cuban coffee. Time slows down here, and Johan explains that this neighbourhood is the beating heart of Cuban culture in Miami.

We'll be stopping off at the legendary Ball & Chain, where history lives on in the walls. This emblematic venue, which has seen jazz and salsa legends pass through its doors, continues to vibrate to this day to the unbridled rhythm of the percussion. A cocktail, a dance step, and we're plunged into the buzzing atmosphere of Cuba, without ever having left the United States.

Brickell: a futuristic version of Miami

Back to the present. Brickell stands in stark contrast to Little Havana. Here, everything is vertical, modern and ultra-connected. Skyscrapers reach for the sky, luxury boutiques rival the best restaurants. Miami's futuristic face is on full display.

Johan takes us to Brickell City Centre, a huge shopping complex where the architecture is as bold as the brands it houses. The clientele is cosmopolitan, ranging from businessmen to haute couture enthusiasts. After a quick tour of the premises, the Mustang awaits us for the last leg of this escapade.

Design District: When luxury becomes an artistic experience

It's impossible to visit Miami without stopping off in the Design District, where every boutique seems to be a work of art in itself. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior - here, shopping is a visual spectacle. Unlike traditional shopping centres, each brand competes inventively to offer a complete immersion in its universe.

Between contemporary sculptures and interactive installations, we wander through this temple of design, marvelling at the ingenuity of each façade. JohanHe's always passionate about what he shares, and shows us the little details that only insiders notice.

A journey through luxury, history and authenticity

As we set off again, it became clear that this visit was not just a sightseeing trip. With Elite American VoyagesWith Johan at our side, we plunged into an authentic Miami, far from the clichés, where each neighbourhood reveals a different facet of the city. A journey punctuated by history, art, culture and a touch of adrenaline aboard a roaring Mustang. As the sun begins to set, the last image remains engraved: Miami, its contrasts, its energy, and that feeling.
