A place that sees the mountains differently
In Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc, Le Saint Gervais Hôtel & Spa occupies a historic residence dating from the early 20th century, opposite the Tramway du Mont-Blanc and a short walk from the village centre. There is something distinctive about the place: it seeks neither the grand-hotel effect nor the expected mountain refuge, but a quieter elegance, between Belle Époque heritage and contemporary lines.
It is one of the first properties in the Handwritten Collection, conceived around the personality of the place and its history. Here, the mountains are not a pasted-on backdrop: they are woven into the architecture, the views and the rhythm of the stay.

A historic house reimagined
The building has retained its original volumes and lines while adopting a more contemporary interpretation. Wood, marble, natural materials and deep colours create a warm atmosphere, with a few references to Art Nouveau and contemporary touches that avoid any pastiche.
Together, they give an impression of discreet comfort, suited to a stay where you take time to settle in, watch the light change on the peaks or extend the day in the shared spaces.

75 rooms opening onto the Alps
The hotel has 75 rooms and suites, from the 20 m² classic room to the 45 m² Suite, with several categories in between and some rooms featuring a balcony. From the windows, the eye is drawn towards the Alps, the Aravis or Mont-Joly.
The comfort is that of a carefully considered interlude: bedding, soundproofing and contemporary amenities support the essentials without ostentation. The appeal of the place lies as much in the view as in the feeling of being in the right place to inhabit the mountains rather than simply pass through them.

The bar, the dining and the Tramway du Mont-Blanc
At the end of the day, Le Marie Paradis comes into its own in the historic part of the hotel. The bar pays tribute to Marie Paradis, the first woman to reach the summit of Mont-Blanc in 1808, and offers a more intimate setting for a cocktail or a house creation.
Restaurant Avanti offers a generous Italian-influenced menu, with pasta, antipasti, parmesan and artisan pizzas. It also welcomes visitors who are not staying at the hotel, making it a lively place to eat, designed for a simple, convivial meal after a day in the mountains.
One of the clearest strengths of the place remains its location right in front of the Tramway du Mont-Blanc. For a stay of at least two nights, the hotel currently offers a return train journey, subject to availability and during the operating season.

Saint-Gervais, between village and peaks
The appeal of this hotel also lies in its location. Between Megève and Chamonix, Saint-Gervais retains a friendlier scale than the large neighbouring resorts while providing access to a vast playground.
In winter, the Évasion Mont-Blanc area links Saint-Gervais, Megève, Combloux, Les Contamines and Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce. When the snow disappears, the destination lends itself to hiking, mountain biking, high-altitude excursions and exploring its heritage. Le Saint Gervais Hôtel then becomes a simple, elegant base for exploring the mountains at your own pace.
An understated Alpine interlude
Le Saint Gervais Hôtel & Spa offers a measured way of experiencing the mountains: a historic place, a carefully considered atmosphere, open views and experiences that belong naturally to the region.
In Saint-Gervais, this hotel is a reminder that an Alpine stay can be built around restraint, with the village as an anchor and the peaks as the horizon.
