Discovering LAOS

Nestled between misty mountains, sacred rivers and deep jungles, this 7-day experience in Laos offers you an elegant and respectful immersion in the traditions, landscapes and emotions of this still undiscovered country.

The journey begins in Vientiane, from where you will be transferred to the banks of the Lake Nam Ngum. You will be welcomed at Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort, a haven of peace overlooking the calm waters of the lake. Enjoy your first traditional "Sindat" dinner, a typical Laotian BBQ to awaken your taste buds on arrival.

The next day, you'll board your private boat for an unforgettable cruise. exclusive cruise on Lake Nam Ngum. Away from the crowds, you'll glide between wild islands, observe local fishermen and enjoy a barbecue lunch prepared on an island by a private chef. Lazing around, swimming or traditional fishing will punctuate this peaceful day.

Your journey then continues to Luang Prabang, Laos' spiritual and cultural jewel. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city will charm you with its golden temples, colonial atmosphere and colourful night market. Discover the city's treasures at your leisure: Vat Xieng Thong, the Royal Palace, or climb Mount Phousi for an unforgettable view at sunset.

You will then set off to discover the Kuang Si Falls, A walk in the heart of nature will take you to the source of these turquoise waterfalls. A traditional Lao massage will round off this revitalising day.

Then on to Pakbeng, at a River cruise on the Mekong with cultural activities on board, a refined lunch and a visit to the famous Pak Ou caves with their thousands of Buddhas. In Pakbeng, the Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge offers a peaceful interlude between jungle and river.

The highlight of this adventure: a day of’ethical immersion in the Mekong Elephant Park, A respectful sanctuary where you can walk alongside the elephants, take part in their care and discover the daily lives of local craftspeople.

Arrival at Lake Nam Ngum

The journey begins in Vientiane before heading to the shores of Nam Ngum Lake. Check-in at Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort and a traditional Sindat dinner set the tone for a gentle first evening.
